Meet the Team
Dr. Thomas Ade
Dr. Thomas Ade graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1979 before attending the
University of lowa College of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 1983. He
completed his residency through the SIU Residency Program from 1983 to 1986 and went
on to complete a Pulmonary Fellowship at the University of Missouri in 1988.
On July 1, 1988, Dr. Ade joined his father Dr. Ralph Ade, in practice. Following his father's
passing, he continued the family legacy and now leads the practice known as Ade Medical
Group. In addition to providing comprehensive medical care, Dr. Ade offers DOT physicals
and serves as an Aviation Medical Examiner.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Ade is actively involved in his community. He attends
Pathway Church and serves as a member of the ILLOWA Council Board. He also has
dedicated many years to youth mentorship through the Boy Scouts of America, serving as
an assistant scoutmaster for over 25 years, a cub master for five years, and a youth group
leader for nine years.
Dr. Ade married his wife, Kara, in 1985. Kara serves the community as both a parish nurse
and a school nurse. Together they have three children and six grandchildren. In his free
time, Dr. Ade enjoys restoring vintage automobiles, including his Model T and Model A, and
antiquing- often searching for unusual historical medical instruments.
Dr. Stephen Murphy
Dr. Stephen Murphy is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, class of 2024. His clinical focus includes pain management, extremity adjustments, soft tissue dysfunction, and overall wellness care. Dr. Murphy utilizes a variety of chiropractic techniques, including Diversified and Gonstead methods, along with movements assessment to identify joint dysfunction and musculoskeletal compensation patterns.
Originally from Omaha, Nebreska, Dr. Murphy now calls the Quad Cities home. After completing as a collegiate baseball athlete, he developed a passion for helping others understand how their bodies move and recover. His approach to care focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of dysfunction so patients can improve mobility, reduce pain, and maintain long-term health.
Dr. Murphy is passionate about serving his community and helping patients of all ages to return to the activities they enjoy- whether that means keeping up with their children, returning to sports, or simply moving without discomfort. He believes that when people feel better physically, it positively impacts every aspect of their lives.
Outside of the office, Dr. Murphy enjoys staying active by biking, working out, playing pickleball. He also enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their animals, playing catch with his son, Holdyn, and gardening at home. He recently welcomed a new baby girl to the mix.
Heather Bruss, MSN, ARNP
Heather Bruss joined Ade Medical in 2024, bringing a strong background in nursing and a
passion for patient-centered care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family
Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2020.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Heather gained over 12 years of experience as a
registered nurse, primarily in emergency and critical care settings. During that time, she
was selected to serve on the Professional Nurse Practice Council of lowa, nominated as a
Great Nurse of lowa, and received multiple DAISY Award nominations in recognition of her
compassionate care and clinical excellence.
As a nurse practitioner, Heather has worked in endocrinology, while also gaining additional
experience in urgent care and women's health. She is passionate about using her diverse
clinical background to provide individualized, comprehensive care to her patients.
Heather is actively involved in her community and profession. She serves as a board
member at large for the Quad Cities Nurse Practitioner and Physician Associate Alliance
and has volunteered at numerous medical tents, school physical events, and community
activities. She has also dedicated many years to youth and school involvement, serving on
the HYC board for over 12 years and participating in the PTA for more than five years. In her
free time, Heather enjoys coaching her children's soccer teams, with over 10 seasons of
coaching experience.
Heather married her husband, Tyler, in 2023 and together they have 7 children (Aden, Camden, Alaina, Levi, Luke, Jack, and Archer). They love to spend time with the kids, traveling and cheering them on at all their events.
Christina "Chris" Stoller, MSN, APRN
Christina "Chris" Stoller joined the practice in 2023 as a Nurse Practitioner. She earned her
Master of Science in Nursing in Nurse Management in 2019 and completed her postgraduate master's certificate in Advanced Nursing in 2021, specializing in geriatric care.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Chris spent 11 years working as a charge nurse on a
telemetry unit, where she gained extensive experience caring for patients with complex
medical conditions.
A proud Quad Cities native. Chris also served in the United States Army for five years. Her background in both military service and nursing has shaped her commitment to providing attentive, patient-centered care. She is passionate about educating patients about their health conditions and helping them make lifestyle improvements that support long-term wellness and, when possible, reduce the need for medications.
Chris is dedicated to building strong relationships with her patients and ensuring they feel heard, supported, and understood during their care. She believes every patient deserves compassionate care and the time needed to address their concerns and health goals.
Outside of the office, Chirs enjoys spending time with her husband, Seth, and their five children. As a child she dreamed about becoming a storm chaser, and she still pursues that passion by making it a goal to chase at least one storm each year.a "Chris" Stoller joined the practice in 2023 as a Nurse Practitioner. Crystal Bolser, AGNP
Crystal Bolser joined the practice as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner after earning
her degree from Purdue University Global in 2025.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Crystal gained over 17 years of experience as a
registered nurse, working in a variety of settings including the hospital, pain management,
surgery center, and home care. Her diverse clinical background has equipped her with a
well-rounded approach to patient care.
Crystal is passionate about supporting patients throughout their health journey, with a special interest in mental health. She is committed to providing compassionate, patientcentered care and values building strong relationships with her patients to help them achieve their health goals.
Outside of the office, Crystal enjoys spending time with her wife, Krystal, who is also a nurse at the practice, along with their two children and three grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, swimming, camping, traveling, attending concerts, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Jennifer Hook, APRN
Jennifer Hook is a Family Nurse Practitioner who provides compassionate, patientcentered care to individuals and families across the lifespan. She earned her degree from
the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, and brings over 24 years of nursing experience,
including 9 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Jennifer is dedicated to delivering personalized care and believes that optimal health and
wellness begin with understanding each patient as an individual. She works collaboratively
with her patients to develop customized care plans that align with their goals and are
guided by evidence-based practice.
Her clinical interests include preventive care, wellness visits, and the management of both
acute and chronic conditions. Jennifer also has extensive experience in treating addiction,
including alcohol and tobacco use, and is certified to prescribe buprenorphine.
Outside of the office, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve, and their four
children and eight grandchildren. She also enjoys walking her dogs, attending local live
music events, reading mystery novels, and being active in her church community.
